President's Message

Dear Family,

Happy New Year! I hope you all enjoyed the holidays and had time to relax and spend time with your families, and have started 2024 with renewed energy. The second semester is in full swing and students are busy with classes and many other activities.

There is a lot coming up this month including our PTSA Meeting this Thursday, January 18th at 8:45 am in the Staff Lounge. Our special guest speakers will be the LCHS Counselors who will discuss important topics and answer any questions you may have.

Also, the second Pilot Bell Schedule will begin on January 29th and run until Thursday, February 15th. You can find the Pilot Bell Schedule details here.

Next PTSA Meeting is Thursday the 18th!

Our next PTSA meeting will be on Thursday, November 18th at 8:45am in the Staff Lounge. There will be coffee and light snacks served!

This month, our comprehensive counselors will cover topics like AP and PCC classes at LCHS, four year plan, understanding GPA, how to engage a counselor if your kid is struggling, etc. Please come with your questions for our wonderful counselors to answer.

If you can't be there in person, then you can join us via Zoom! Just click here to register and you will be sent all the details on joining the call.

School Safety Plan Public Meeting - after PTSA

Following our PTA meeting on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at approximately 10 am, Dr. Almeida will lead a public meeting that reviews the LCHS Comprehensive Safety Plan. Please attend if you are available. The meeting will be in the LCHS Staff Lounge.

"Winter Wonderland" Formal Dance

Saturday, January 27^th 7pm - 10pm in the North Gym. Tickets can be purchased at lunch or online until Wednesday, January 24^th. Cost is $30 with ASB or $35 without ASB - click here to purchase tickets.

* Please note: no heels are allowed in the gym so tennis shoes are encouraged. There will be a coat check if they want to change their shoes when they arrive.

Revolution Prep Fundraiser

Revolution Prep is offering our students a Digital SAT and ACT practice test. The tests are $20 each and are fundraisers, with all proceeds going to LCHS PTSA!

We are so grateful for our community partnership with Ralphs! This is the easiest thing you can do to help our school ... so please sign up your Ralphs card today!

Step One!

Go to: https://www.ralphs.com and sign in to your account. Select "Community Contributions". If you don't see "La Cañada High School PTSA 7-12" then please change it to benefit our school and our kids!

That's it! And for you overachievers out there (and who amongst us isn't!?) ... here's Step Two! Bug your neighbors, friends and relatives to sign up their Ralphs cards as well!

Not locals? No problem! Ralphs is part of the Kroger family, so your mother-in-law who lives in Arizona can shop using her Fry's card and benefit LCHS too! Your brother in Washington can shop at Fred Meyer and benefit our kids while he's at it!

Last quarter we had only 325 families registered and still made $3,000. Just think of what we can earn if all our families register their cards! Thank you!
