SUBJECT: LCHS 9-12 PTSA - All the News You Need!

President's Message

Dear Family,

Happy October and Fall!

I love this time of year and Fall is one of my favorite seasons-I love the cozy weather (although that does not apply this week), Fall sports, the soups and pumpkin treats-but most of all, I love to Gather. Fall just lends itself to gathering. I feel like our campus is in full gathering mode...

A big THANK YOU to Sharon Anderson, Jamie Abrahamian, Holly Breckheimer, and Allie Regan for organizing such a successful Tailgate last Friday. We appreciate all of your time and efforts into making this such a great event. It was heartwarming to see our students, players, parents, teachers and staff gathering to enjoy a Tommy's Burger and scoop of Handels ice cream while watching the talented LC Cheer Squad perform while the amazing Band played and Football players ran through. It was so spirited and FUN! Thank you for your support and for joining us!

Have a wonderful week ahead!

Warmest Regards,

Valerie Talbert - LCHS PTSA President

LCUSD Governing Board Election Candidate Forum

The La Cañada Council PTA, along with the League of Women Voters of Los Angeles County, will be hosting a public forum for the three candidates running for the LCUSD Governing Board election. The event will be held at the La Cañada High School Auditorium on Monday, October 7th at 7:00 pm. All interested members of the public are invited to attend. In addition to hearing prepared statements from the candidates, attendees will have the opportunity to submit written questions.

To learn more about the candidates, please visit their websites:

The League of Women Voters is dedicated to making democracy work by offering services to communities with the purpose of informing and encouraging voters to take advantage of their right to vote. As a non-partisan organization, the La Cañada Council PTA neither supports nor opposes candidates for public office. It does, however, aim to help disseminate as much factual, objective information as possible during election campaigns so that voters may make more informed choices on issues that affect our community's children and youth.

For more information about the forum, please contact La Cañada Council PTA President Christine Chant at: president@lacanadapta.org
