RED RIBBON WEEK OCTOBER 21 ~ 25 2024
The LCHS PTSA, along with the LCHS Wellness Center, will be offering programming and resources to students and parents throughout the week for Red Ribbon Week, 10/21-10/25. The theme for this year is "Life is a Movie, Film Drug Free." It serves as a powerful reminder that ordinary Americans nationwide contribute significantly to their communities every day by embracing a drug-free lifestyle.
Each day of Red Ribbon Week we will have some activity related to the dangers of alcohol consumption and driving, smoking and vaping, with the capstone event on Friday, 10/25.
For a comprehensive, multi-media campaign focusing on talking to your children early about the dangers of alcohol and other drugs, take a look at the Substance Use & Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)’s “Talk. They Hear You” campaign.
The PTSA Red Ribbon/Choices Matter campaign raises awareness and prevention of drug, alcohol and vaping use and abuse.
