Why Join the PTSA

The La Cañada High School PTSA connects parents to principals, teachers and student leadership by building strong educational partnerships. When you purchase an annual PTSA membership, you become a part of a bigger movement to benefit our kids and support families!

Locally, our PTSA organizes and funds programs such as Red Ribbon/Choices Matter Week and other character development programs. We enlist volunteers to support registration, hearing tests, Servathon, Photo Day and provide any parent support the school administration needs. In a typical year, we host a Tailgate party at the first football game, a new family social, the 9th Grade Parent Coffee with the Principal, and other events. Our fundraising through the annual La Cañada Home Tour provides much-needed funds for the Wellness Center, Technology, the IRC and other academic enrichment. The PTSA coordinates many other fun and educational activities throughout the year to engage families and nurture a sense of community. For questions contact membership@lchsptsa.org.

Students are the "S" in PTSA, and are also encouraged to become members.  Student members are invited to join the PTSA Student group which meets monthly for a pizza lunch and coordinates outreach events, janitor appreciation, Student of the Quarter Breakfasts and other events throughout the year.

Seniors, you have to be a student member of the PTSA to apply for PTSA scholarships from both the LCHS PTSA and at the Council Level (1st District.)

Be a part of something great and gain perks at the same time! PTSA members in California are entitled to discounts at major theme parks, on school supplies and travel necessities like rental cars. See a full listing of perks here.
